Sonia Ruiz de Garibay

Equity Portfolio Manager

Sonia Ruiz de Garibay holds degrees in Economics and Business Administration, with a specialisation in Finance, and in Law from ICADE E-3 (Comillas Pontifical University).

She began her professional career at Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) and subsequently built extensive experience as a fundamental equity analyst at Bestinver and GVC Gaesco Valores, specialising in listed companies across the oil and utilities, infrastructure and materials, real estate, airlines and hotels sectors. Her sell-side research was consistently recognised by StarMine between 2010 and 2017.

In 2017, she moved to the buy side, taking on equity research and portfolio management responsibilities at Trea Asset Management, Cygnus Asset Management and A&G Banca Privada. During this period, she gained experience in Long Only and Long/Short strategies, ESG integration and advising high-net-worth clients. In 2025, she joined Aena Desarrollo Internacional as a Senior M&A Analyst, where she was involved in the valuation and acquisition of airport assets.
